Crochet Barefoot Sandals

This is an easy, quick and fun little crochet project. Makes a great gift and only takes about half an hour per set!

Note: This is a very dynamic pattern and is easy to adapt to your tastes/size

Barefoot Sandals



Materials list:

Any crochet hook and yarn can be used but I used:

  • 4.5mm hook
  • 8 ply acrylic plain yarn (100% acrylic)


Abbreviations:

Ch: chain
Sl st: Slip Stitch
Dc: Double Crochet

Process:

  1. Cast on and ch 20 (approx - measure around your middle toe to ensure it fits... decrease or increase accordingly)
  2. Sl st through first Ch
  3. Ch 4, Dc 2 into 3rd from top Ch
  4. Ch 2, Dc into first Ch
  5. Ch 4, DC into last DC from previous row
  6. Ch 2, turn, DC into first Ch
  7. Ch 2, DC into middle of previous row, Ch 2, DC into last DC from previous row
  8. Ch 2, turn, DC into first Ch
  9. Ch 2, DC into middle 2 Dc's from previous row, Ch 2, DC into middle 2 Dc's from previous row, Ch 2, DC into last DC from previous row
  10. Continue the pattern until you have reached 6 'holes' or triangle reaches from your middle toe to ankle (see picture)
  11. Once your triangle is finished ch 100 (or more if you want your strings longer) then tie off.
  12. Sl st into opposite corner of triangle and ch 100 (or more if you did so on the other side) then tie off.
  13. Weave in your loose ends and you are done!
